چکیده
Validating ethnobotanical data from underexplored traditional plant remedies provides an infinite source of new pharmaceutical chemicals. The purpose this study was to determine the phytochemical composition and several biological activities (antioxidant, anti-lipase, anti-?-amylase, anti-?-glucosidase, antimicrobial) aqueous, ethanol, hexane, acetone Artemisia scoparia leaf extracts. An exhaustive technique employed extract A. four At same time, standard analytical biochemical assays were utilized preliminary screening, anti-DPPH, anti-?-amylase activities. Furthermore, antimicrobial effects against seven microbial strains evaluated using a broth micro-dilution assay. Acetone exhibited highest DPPH scavenging anti-?-glucosidase (IC50 = 21.87 ± 0.71, 149.75 1.33 µg/mL, respectively), as well ethanol extract, activity 251 1.34 µg/mL) while aqueous had best anti-lipase 102 0.27 among other Moreover, hexane has more powerful Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), aureus, Proteus vulgaris, Pseudomonas aeruginosa than Ciprofloxacin Ampicillin antibiotics with MICs 0.78 0.01, 0.39 1.56 0.22 respectively. In addition, extracts have antifungal power Fluconazole (1.56 µg/mL). outcomes current indicated that acetone, promising antioxidant, effects, interesting potential. potentially bioactive compounds can be selected for further isolation purification. clinical investigations in vivo approaches should implemented confirm benefits these diabetes, obesity, oxidative stress, infections.

The aim of my research was to screen secondary metabolites and antimicrobial activities of methanolic extracts of the leaves Vernonia amygdalina and Plantago lanceolata, and acetone extracts of the leaves Rosmarinus officinalis and Thymus schimperi against two bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli) and two fungi (Aspergillus niger and Fusarium oxysporum) using paper disc diffusio...
متن کاملPreliminary Phytochemical Screening and Antispasmodic Activity of Artemisia macrocephala Jacquem
The current work describes the antispasmodic action of Artemisia macrocephala, which is achieved via blocking of the calcium channels. This explains its traditional use as an antispasmodic. The crude methanolic extract of A. macrocephala was studied for possible relaxant effect(s) on spontaneous rabbits' jejunum preparations. Analytical-grade chemicals were used in the experimental protocols. A....

متن کاملAntimicrobial and phytochemical screening of Icacina trichantha
Ethanol and water extracts of Icacina trichantha leaves were screened for their phytochemicals and antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, streptococcus spp, Candida albicans and Klebsiella pneumonia. The result indicated that alkaloids, tannins, saponins, and phenols were present in the plant part. Both the ethanol extract and the water extract were active again...
